Legacy DMT was founded as a division of Straun Studios — a Washington DC Metro video production company built on the disciplines of military service: precision, follow-through, and the understanding that some things only happen once.

After years of working on documentaries and commercial work for brands, corporate and government clients, we kept returning to the same observation: the most important stories — the ones that defined families, communities, and American history — were the ones no one was capturing. Not professionally. Not permanently. Not in a way that would hold up for the next generation, and the one after that.

So we built Legacy DMT to fill that gap. Not as a side project. As a mission.
